🧁 What Baker School is

Baker School is a small collection of cozy learning games — counting, place value, fractions, telling the time and more — set in Pip's Magical Bakery. It was built by a dad for his own young daughters, and shared so other families can play too. It's free, with no ads and nothing to buy.

🔒 Safe by design

The safest data is the data we never collect. Baker School is built so there's almost nothing to go wrong:

• ✓No accounts, no passwords, no email. Nobody signs up. There's nothing to log into and nothing to leak.
• ✓No ads and no trackers. No advertising networks, no analytics, no “pixels”, no third-party scripts watching your child.
• ✓Everything stays on your device. A child's name, treat avatar and game progress (stars and levels) are saved only in your own browser — they're never sent to us or anyone else.
• ✓No chat, no messaging, no uploads. There's no way for a child to talk to strangers, share anything, or wander off to the wider web from inside a game.
• ✓No server to break into. The whole site is just static files served over a secure (HTTPS) connection through Cloudflare. There's no database of children sitting on a server somewhere.
• ✓No in-app purchases. Nothing costs money and your child can never be charged.

💾 What's stored — and where

So several kids can share one tablet and each keep their own stars, the bakery remembers a tiny bit of information in your browser only:

• ✓The baker name you type (a first name or nickname is perfect), plus the treat emoji and colour you picked.
• ✓Each game's progress — which levels and stars that baker has earned.

This is kept using your browser's own storage and one small first-party cookie (so the same baker is recognised across our pages). None of it is shared, sold, or sent anywhere. You're always in control: removing a baker, or clearing your browser's data for this site, erases it completely.

🌐 The one outside request — fonts

In the interest of being completely straight with you: the bakery's friendly lettering comes from Google Fonts, which means your browser fetches the typefaces from Google's servers the first time you visit. That request can reveal your device's IP address to Google, as any web font would. We don't use Google for anything else — no analytics and no tracking — and we plan to host the fonts ourselves so that even this single outside request goes away.

• ✗Never ask for an address, phone number, photo, or birthday.
• ✗Never add chat or any way for strangers to reach a child.
